Ayurvedic Therapy

Delivered by Pru, Ayurvedic Practitioner

Ayurveda simply means science of life and has been practiced for more than 5000 years. Existing in India alongside conventional medicine. It is based on achieving a state of balance and harmony within the body, mind and spirit, through a holistic approach that includes diet, herbal medicine, ayurevedic treatments and other practices. Each individual's constitution, or prakriti, is unique and influenced by the three doshas: vata, pitta, and kapha, which represent different energies in the body.

Marmayaha
Aurevedic
Massage

Shirodhara

Shirodhara is known as the ‘king’ of treatments.  It is the process by which warm oil is methodically drizzled onto the forehead from a specially designed pot hung directly above the client after a relaxing neck and head massage.

Shirodhara soothes and invigorates the senses as well as the mind, inducing a total state of relaxation and wellness.

This is a fantastic treatment for stress relief.

Sauna & PInda Sveda

Red-light & shiridahara

PInda Sveda
£66

This is a traditional treatment which uses heated boluses/pindas the size of a large orange and made from nourishing grains, herbs and oils.  The pindas are used to firmly massage the entire body and promote sweating.

Used for relief of chronic and acute muscle and joint pain, rehabilitates and rejuvenates fatigued muscles and joints.  It also reduces fat, treats cellulite and improves skin tone and texture.

Ayurvedic face lift
£44

This massage acts as a natural face lift, relaxing the muscles in the face and stimulating facial micro-circulation and lymph flow, thereby promoting the regeneration of healthy, younger looking skin.

A special massage technique is used that follows the energy pathways of the face through the marma points, these points are similar to those used in acupuncture (but without the use of needles) and are stimulated to eliminate physical and emotional toxins from the face.

Using warm fragrant oils, gentle pressure and strokes, this treatment not only leaves the skin feeling smooth, glowing and revitalised but also relaxes the mind.
